History of Melbourne
Melbourne, a city established on August 30, 1935, is the second most populous city in Australia. History of Melbourne clearly states that the Victorian Gold Rush was the one responsible for to be considered a metropolis in 1850’s. Before Sydney overtook Melbourne’s rapid growth in the 20th century, it was considered the tenth largest city in the world, the second largest city of the British Empire and the most significant and biggest city in Australia.
