History of Tampa
The history of Tampa has its origin from the Native Americans who have equated the name of Tampa as “sticks of fire”. In January 1862 martial law was declared putting commercial businesses to a stop. The Confederate States of America was introduced likewise the Battle of Tampa in June 1862 materialized. Today, traces of these battles are chronicled in the city’s historic derivation and will continue to live in the hearts and minds of its natives.
