Attractions of Detroit
Attractions in Detroit are just endless. From museums, to the performing arts, festivals, water sports and of course a bit of gambling there’s always something to do, hear and see in Detroit. The most notable ones are the CityFest which is a food festival that is sponsored by Comerica. This happens every July 4th in the New Center which is near the Fisher Building.
One can also soak up some of Detroit’s famous underground art scene. This city is the home of about 80 or more galleries where artists coming from all over the world exhibit their creations. Many of these artists take inspiration in the rawness and the under utilized industrial spaces of the pre-depression era buildings.
Of course, one cannot leave the city without having a taste of the world famous Detroit music scene. Here, the Detroit sound is the sound of the world. Many indie and up and coming bands as well as big named artists gather to perform and join in with Detroit’s campaign: “The world is coming, get in the game.”
