History of London
London is a very old city dating as far back as 40 AD. It was first controlled by the Roman Empire. The history of London continues when the Saxons conquered London during the 6th century. In the 9th century, London became the capital of Britain. From then on, London has continued to be the political, finance, business, cultural, tourism and shopping center of the country. London is a witness hundreds of years of monarchy. Today, London is one of the few remaining countries where there is still monarchy.
