Living Cost in Barcelona
Living in Barcelona is still relatively cheaper than in most major European cities, except for the accommodations or apartments.
A single person can easily spend more than 6,000 euros a month covering his apartment, schooling, food, phone, Internet, gas, and travel. Apartments range from 3,500 to 3,500 euros a month – this could go lower or higher depending on the size of the space. A flat can be rented at less than 600 euros and a room can have a rent of 200 euros a month.
A cup of coffee could cost you 1 euro and bread would be around 0.6 euro. A lunch menu, on the average is around 1.25 euros and a single trip via bus or train is around 6.90 euros. In general, it still is expensive to live in Barcelona compared to the salaries especially if you weigh in the home rental.
