History of Hong Kong
Museums and traditional heritage parks appeal to tourists that came to know more about the history of Hong Kong. From these attractions, you can see that Hong Kong was once part of mainland China, under the Qing Dynasty, until it lost to the First Opium War, and became a colony of the British government. During the Second World War, it fell in the hands of the Japanese, and returned to the British after the war. Hong Kong attracted businessmen from mainland China when the communists took control of the country. Hong Kong's economy eventually grew with its autonomy form the mainland.
