Attractions of Johannesburg
The main attractions in Johannesburg are the museums and the fossil sites where the oldest Australophitecus Africanus – an old human specie – came from. Some of the main galleries are the Mandela Family museum, the South African National Museum of Military History, and the Origins Centre – The South African Museum of Rock Art. Museums of note also include the Johannesburg Art Gallery, and the Standard Bank Gallery, where entrance is for free.
Aside from museums, there are also nature parks where exotic animals can be seen. Some of these are the Lion Park and the Montecasino Bird Gardens. It is also interesting to visit gold mines such as the Gold Reef City and the Ferreria’s Mine.
